Wyatt Pottoe

Searching for inner peace? First, you need to be able to identify your chakras.

Those who perform chakra meditation believe that the human body has vital points of energy. These energy centers are used consciously or unconsciously, and have great influence over our life experiences. “Chakra” is the term used to define these critical points.

Chakras are found in different areas throughout the human body. There are seven chakras in total, each holding influence over the area in which it is found. Every chakra has its own distinctive property.

There is a chakra, located at the base of the spine, known as the Root Chakra. The Root Chakra affects the health, structure and safety of your body. Traditionally called muladhara and also known as the coccyx, this chakra is associated with how one’s body links to the material world. It is also symbolized by a red-colored circle surrounded by four golden petals.

The Naval Chakra or svadisthana, a fundamental point located in the lower abdomen, is associated with the feelings of love, passion, sexuality as well as pleasure. People experiencing positive feelings would send feedback to this chakra, which is associated with the orange color.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is found just above the navel and below the chest. A vital point influencing one’s force and willpower, this chakra is the point at which self-control, authority and discipline. Yellow is the colour of this powerful chakra.

The Heart Chakra, or anahata, is found in the middle of the chest area. Love and understanding are the focus of this chakra, as well as the feelings that result from these sensations. The Heart Chakra is related to the colour green.

A critical point located in the throat area is called the vishuddha, or Throat Chakra. This chakra is linked to communication and associated with a sky blue colour.

The Brow Chakra or the anja is a vital point located on the forehead, just above the eyes. This chakra is associated with our sensitivity outside the physical sphere and is known to the Buddhists as the region of the “Third Eye.” This clairvoyance-related focus point is associated with the color indigo as well.

The Crown Chakra, or sahasrara, is found at the central point on top of the head. Naturally, this important chakra is concerned with the spirit and the mind. One’s consciousness and items related to the High Self are dictated by the violet-coloured Crown Chakra.

If you are interested in practicing Chakra meditation, you’ll find that it has the ability to stimulate your vital energy points and lead to beneficial side effects. Be careful though, as too much mental energy is not always wise for people who do participate in much physical activity. Ask for expert guidance when learning chakra meditation or you may risk developing personality problems due to a chakra imbalance.

Timothy Aaron Whiston

To learn more about the ancient chakra points and how basic chakra meditation can improve your life, be sure to visit the author’s site today.
The human chakra system was discovered thousands of years ago, and has been confirmed by numerous proven studies like acupuncture, yoga, and reiki. This amazing aspect of human health represents the raw energy of the human being.
I like to think of the chakra system as the fifth level of human being. Allow me to put this into perspective:

We are all aware of the physical body, psychological awareness, and emotional mind where the mental and physical actually meet in the form of peptides. Many people also choose to acknowledge the spiritual realm of life; by this reckoning we now have four aspects of the human form.

The chakra system, with its meridians and auric fields, represents the raw energy the flows through the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual expressions of a human being. It can be thought of as the source power that drives our existence.

When certain areas of the chakra system are out of balance, physical disease can manifest in the body. Likewise emotional disorders can occur when other aspects of the human energy system are blocked or out of balance.

By correcting imbalances and allowing the healthy flow of energy through the chakra system, so-called incurable diseases can be eliminated, severe emotional problems can be corrected, and so forth. While western medicine has not fully endorsed this concept yet, more doctors are accepting the wonderful reality of the chakra system.

Within the next 50 years it is extremely likely that mainstream medicine will embrace the chakra points system. In fact, the only thing preventing widespread acceptance of chakra healing and chakra wisdom at this time is a politically motivated medical community.

Sickness is big business, especially while the pharmaceutical companies maintain their current level of financial influence over medical publications and general practices. But as the human mind continues to evolve and our species moves out of the neo dark age of corruption and self-sabotage, the myriad benefits of our natural energy systems will play an important role.

In addition to advanced healing benefits, knowledge of the chakra system empowers an individual with greater self-knowledge and direct access to the subatomic energy from which all things flow. Science has recently proven the existence of a unified quantum field, or an entangled essential reality at the core of all things; such a truth was spoken of freely thousands of years ago in Vedic and Taoist writings.

How ironic, it seems, that we are finding the universal wisdom in teachings made available in ancient times.

An exploration of the chakra system requires no specific religious orientation, and no particular spiritual practices. In fact, there is nothing at all mystical or paranormal about the chakra centers and their associated meridians.

One can take a completely scientific approach to the study of his or her own chakra system and base conclusions solely on the outcome of various meditations and exercises. Even the skeptic is likely to be fascinated by the very real and tangible results of such experimentation.

I challenge you to empower yourself by exploring the chakra system further. Doing so is entirely safe, and can be done with only a small amount of preliminary knowledge.

WHY SHOULD ONE MEDITATE?

To realize who one is. This is the main goal of meditation. But, as there is extreme turbulence and suffering in most of the minds, the first motivating factor can be the cessation of agitation and pain. It is only when one understands that happiness and fulfilment are a state of being independent of external factors that one can learn to outgrow suffering and turmoil. When the mind is able to remain unconditionally peaceful vis a vis the external situations, there occurs the possibility of meditation. So the first reason that one should learn and practice meditation is the cessation of turbulence.

The Solution: Detachment from one’s own mind

It is not only the suffering, but even the apparently harmless agitations of mind have their roots in illusory conditionings. If one wants to experience true peace and happiness, one will have to understand and detach from these unconscious stories. The best deConditioning happens through deep contemplation. The best way of doing deep contemplation is in a peaceful and solitary place. Doing a retreat is always helpful, but it might not be feasible for one and all. There can be exigencies, beyond one’s control, which don’t allow one to live in a retreat environment.

Five Principles of Z Meditation:

It is very important that the principles of any mind work are clear and rational. These are the principles of Z Meditation that have been used to device Deep Inquiry, Radiant Mantras and the entire retreat structure:
No proof, No Belief

All belief should be scientifically substantiated. One should be able to experience one’s beliefs.

No Concepts, No Peace

There is zero possibility of suppressing the turbulence of the mind by mechanical means. For lasting peace, the concepts must be understood clearly.

No Mother-tongue, No Understanding

One thinks best in one’s own language. Without deep thinking, one cannot integrate the knowledge with one’s life.

No Tuning, No Music

Meditation does not mean torturing the body or the mind. It is an enjoyable and radiant way to clear the mind of turmoil and see things in the Truth-Light. The middle path is the best path. If you are into self affliction, you cannot think clearly. Without clear thinking, you cannot detach from your age-old conditionings.

No Integration, No Dance

Meditation is a way of life and not just a routine. If the rest of the day is not lived in conformity with what one practices in one’s meditation, one cannot make progress just by doing some monotonous motorized exercises.

These are revolutionary principles of meditation. Integrating them with one’s practice, one can make speedy and enduring progress in this beautiful mind-elevation game.
